We are a ragtag collection of friends, family, neighbors, and complete strangers brought together by a shared love of singing, old sea shanties, and making a respectable amount of noise in a pub.

Some can sing with skill. Some can sing with great enthusiasm. All are welcome just the same.

Once a month, we gather at O’Huids Gaelic Pub in Lancaster, Ohio, where we lead a good old-fashioned pub sing and collectively pretend that central Ohio is somewhere considerably closer to the sea. There are no auditions, no membership requirements, and no expectation that you know what you’re doing. If you know the words, sing along. If you don’t, you’ll catch on soon enough.

The Leaky Lifeboats are less about perfect harmonies and more about good songs, good company, and the particular joy of a room full of people singing together.
